Refunds: Mobile Wallets

If you need the “card number” for a refund request and the purchase was made using a mobile wallet, like Apple Pay, it’s important to know that these services do not use or show your actual card number. Instead, it uses a Device Account Number (a masked version of your card) for security.

 

Here’s how to find the correct information to provide for a refund, with out this information we will not be able to find your transaction:

📱 On iPhone

 

  1. Open the Wallet app

  2. Tap the card you used for the purchase

  3. Tap the ••• (More) button in the top corner

  4. Select Card Details

  5. Look for:

    1. Device Account Number (this is what Apple Pay used)

    2. You will only see the last 4 digits, which is what we are looking for.

 

 

⌚ On Apple Watch

 

  1. Open the Watch app on your iPhone

  2. Tap Wallet & Apple Pay

  3. Select the card

  4. View the Device Account Number

Google Pay/Wallet

📱 On Android

 

  1. Open the Google Pay app on your phone

  2. Tap the transaction in your activity feed

  3. You'll see the last 4 digits of the card used for that transaction

  4. To see more card details, go to Payment Methods and tap the card — you may see a virtual card number (different from your physical card number) that Google uses for transactions
